Lake Volney in Le Sueur County, Minnesota

This lake has 8 Layers or 15 Layers for HD Version

Lake Volney is a 283-acre lake in Kilkenny Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, reaching a notable maximum depth of 67 feet — making it one of the deepest lakes in the Waterville area — across 2 miles of mostly developed, rolling shoreline three miles southeast of Le Center. The lake is primarily managed for Black Crappie, Bluegill, and Largemouth Bass, with Northern Pike and Walleye as secondary targets, and is part of an active DNR Walleye strain research project comparing Lower Mississippi and Mississippi Strain fry performance across the Cannon River chain of lakes. Lake Volney Park on the southern shoreline offers a sand beach, boat ramp, volleyball court, and picnic facilities maintained by Le Sueur County.

Located near the communities of Le Center, Montgomery, and Kilkenny in the rolling farmland of southern Minnesota's Cannon River watershed, Lake Volney sits in a landscape shaped by agriculture, conservation efforts, and community pride. The Le Sueur Soil and Water Conservation District has implemented significant Clean Water Fund projects in the lake's watershed to reduce agricultural runoff and protect its water quality, reflecting the deep investment local residents have in this beloved southern Minnesota lake.

A laser-cut wooden map of Lake Volney makes a personal and meaningful piece of wall art for any Le Sueur County lake home, cabin, or southern Minnesota retreat. The natural wood top layer traces every curve of this surprisingly deep lake's 2-mile shoreline in fine detail, while the light-to-dark blue gradient layers beautifully capture its impressive 67-foot depth. A handcrafted gift perfectly suited for Lake Volney homeowners, Le Center area anglers, and anyone who treasures this beloved corner of southern Minnesota lake country.

The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

Cribbage Boards - 10"x14" - Your choice of Maple or Cherry wood, 2 or 3 runs, and your choice of peg colors.
