Pierz Lake is a 189-acre lake in Morrison County, Minnesota, reaching a maximum depth of 34 feet across 3 miles of shoreline near the city of Pierz and the community of Buckman. The lake supports a remarkably diverse fishery including Walleye, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black and White Crappie, Bluegill, Rock Bass, Pumpkinseed, Bowfin, Bigmouth Buffalo, and a full suite of panfish and rough fish species that reflect the lake's fertile, well-connected character. Located near the city of Pierz — named for Father Francis Xavier Pierz, a Slovenian-born Catholic missionary who worked with the Ojibwe and Ottawa peoples throughout central Minnesota in the mid-1800s — Pierz Lake sits in the rolling farmland and mixed hardwood forests of central Morrison County. The city of Little Falls, the Morrison County seat and hometown of Charles Lindbergh, is just 13 miles to the west, with the Brainerd Lakes region easily accessible to the north via Highway 25.
A laser-cut wooden map of Pierz Lake makes a personal and distinctive piece of wall art for any Morrison County lake home, cabin, or central Minnesota retreat. The natural wood top layer traces every curve of this productive lake's 3-mile shoreline in fine detail, while the light-to-dark blue gradient layers capture its depth and character. A handcrafted gift perfectly suited for Pierz Lake homeowners, Morrison County anglers, and anyone who treasures this quiet and storied corner of central Minnesota.

The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.
