Lake Stella in Alger County, Michigan

This lake has 8 Layers or 15 Layers for HD Version

Lake Stella is a 314-acre natural lake nestled within the Hiawatha National Forest in Alger County, Michigan, near the small community of Trenary in the Upper Peninsula. Reaching a maximum depth of 15 feet, the lake features one island and one small islet along its wooded shoreline and supports a diverse fishery of Walleye, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Rock Bass, and Yellow Perch. The U.S. Forest Service manages the surrounding land, preserving the wild, undeveloped character that makes Lake Stella one of the Upper Peninsula's quiet natural gems.

Located in the southern reaches of Alger County amid the vast Hiawatha National Forest, Lake Stella sits in a remote landscape of northern hardwood and boreal forest, wetlands, and quiet forest roads southeast of Munising. The broader Alger County area is home to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, and the stunning Lake Superior shoreline, making this corner of the Upper Peninsula one of Michigan's most celebrated and scenic outdoor destinations.

A laser-cut wooden map of Lake Stella makes a personal and distinctive piece of wall art for any Upper Peninsula cabin, Hiawatha National Forest retreat, or Michigan outdoors enthusiast's home. The natural wood top layer traces every curve of this National Forest lake's shoreline in fine detail, while the light-to-dark blue gradient layers bring its quiet, island-dotted character to life. A handcrafted gift perfectly suited for Lake Stella regulars, Alger County locals, and anyone who treasures this peaceful corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.
