Haskell Lake in Itasca County, Minnesota

This lake has 8 Layers or 15 Layers for HD Version

Haskell Lake is a 93-acre clear, hard-water lake with moderate productivity located 15 miles north of Bovey in the Mississippi River watershed of Itasca County, Minnesota, reaching a surprising maximum depth of 57 feet for its modest size. The lake is part of a navigable chain connecting to Scrapper and Balsam Lakes through shallow channels passable by small boats, and holds Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Rock Bass, Yellow Perch, and the cold-water species Lake Whitefish — a hallmark of a deep, well-oxygenated northern Minnesota lake. Northern Pike is the primary management species given the lake's habitat suitability and strong angler interest.

Situated in the remote boreal lake country of northern Itasca County north of Bovey and Nashwauk, Haskell Lake sits in a landscape shaped by the logging and iron mining history of Minnesota's Iron Range. The surrounding region offers access to the Mesabi Trail, the communities of Grand Rapids and Hibbing, and the vast forests and waterways of the Chippewa National Forest corridor.

A laser-cut wooden map of Haskell Lake makes a personal and distinctive piece of wall art for any Itasca County cabin, Iron Range retreat, or northern Minnesota lake home. The natural wood top layer traces the intimate 2-mile shoreline of this surprisingly deep lake in fine detail, while the light-to-dark blue gradient layers beautifully capture its impressive 57-foot depth and clear, cold-water character. A handcrafted gift perfectly suited for Haskell Lake regulars, Bovey-area anglers, and anyone who treasures this quiet corner of Minnesota's northwoods.

HD XX Large: 24"x36" - 15 Layers

HD Gigantic 30"x45" - 15 Layers

The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

Cribbage Boards - 10"x14" - Your choice of Maple or Cherry wood, 2 or 3 runs, and your choice of peg colors.
