The VMC® BTJ Boot Tail Jig is a pre-rigged soft plastic jig designed to imitate small fry and baitfish that freshwater predators feed on every day. Featuring a realistic minnow profile and a long micro-thin boot tail, this lure creates a subtle swimming and vibrating action that looks like an injured or struggling baitfish.
Built around VMC's exclusive Power Gap hook, the BTJ provides a wider hook gap than traditional jig hooks of similar size, helping improve hook-up percentages when fish strike. The durable soft plastic body is designed to maintain action at slow speeds, making it effective for casting, swimming, vertical jigging, and slip-float presentations.
Available in proven fish-catching colors, including Ultra Glow options that can remain illuminated for up to 15 minutes after charging, the Boot Tail Jig excels in clear water, stained water, and low-light conditions. Whether you're targeting shallow spring crappies, roaming perch schools, or suspended panfish, this versatile jig belongs in every freshwater tackle box.
